EASY is aimed specifically at youth workers, community workers, social workers, guidance counsellors, Resource Teachers: Learning and Development (RTLBs), public health nurses and government workers.

- Ministry of Economic Development, Digital Strategy: Community Partnership fund

Why is access to EASY restricted?
We (YouthLaw) want to ensure that EASY members will go on to provide competent and professional standard of advocacy for their clients.
By restricting membership to those who belong to a professional body, we hope to ensure that all members will be operating under the professional code of conduct and ethics prescribed by their association.
The most important reason to restrict access is to keep young people safe and to ensure they receive support from dedicated and committed people who are working within professional standards.
Will EASY offer other training?
We hope so. YouthLaw will develop additional modules to explore the different areas in greater depth. We have created an online space that professional associations and other networks can also use to provide professional development training. We intend that that the EASY portal will have capacity to provide online seminars or podcasts by experts in the field. We encourage EASY members to be proactive in directing this development.
What is a podcast?
A podcast is a televised event that people can watch online or download to a phone, iPod or other suitable device.
It is an event that is happening in real time. As an example, YouthLaw may announce on the EASY site that Judge Andrew Becroft has agreed to give a 15-minute talk on Family Group Conferences (FGCs) on October 10th at 10.30 am. EASY members would be able to watch it at that time via internet.
